KABALE – Two known suspects and others yet to be identified are on run in Kabale district for killing their biological brother Tumwesigye Deus 38 years a resident of Kyembeho Village in Kaharo Sub County.
The Suspects are Byaruhanga Alex and Nasasira Osbert and some others who are still at large. The incident happened on Tuesday 24/12/2024 at around 04am at Kyembeho village, Kaharo sub county in Kabale District.
Its alleged that, on the 24/12/2024, at about 04am at the above village Byaruhanga Alex, Nasasira Osbert and others all still at large, with malice afore thought, unlawfully caused the death of Tumwesigye Deus.
That the deceased Broke into the kitchen of Byaruhanga Alex and stole two cocks and in the process of breaking the kitchen, Byaruhanga Alex saw him through his window, moved outside chased him while alarming for help from other people.
That the suspect together with other local residents got him while he was entering his house and hacked him to death. The residents informed the RDC Kabale and area OC about the incident who also notified the district CID officer,
Upon getting the information, the District CID officer led a team and responded to the scene immediately. Relevant Statements were recorded from witnesses and the body was examined, retrieved and postmortem was done while suspects on the run but efforts to have them apprehended are underway.
Two people that are Kanyankole Venansio the area ChairPerson Lc1 and Kesande Fausat (Sister to deceased ) were arrested to help in investigations.
The deceased is alleged to have been killed by his own biological brothers Byaruhanga Alex, Nasasira Osbert and others who are on the runand is alleged to have been a habitual criminal in the area.
The Kigezi Region Police Spokesperson Asp Elly Maate confirmed the incident stressing that inquiries into the matter are still underway.
