MITOOMA, UGANDA – Arthur Kazoora, NRM’s Ruhinda South flagbearer, has reported threats and destruction of campaign posters to police, claiming his life is at risk. He alleges the acts are linked to incumbent MP Capt Mugabe Dononzio Kahonda, who denies involvement, calling it a blame game.
This incident echoes a 2020 controversy where a coffin was found in Kazoora’s compound, allegedly planted to garner sympathy votes. Residents accuse Kazoora of using dirty tricks, while others question his motives, citing a lack of clear manifesto.
Mitooma district deputy RDC Umaru Muhanguzi condemns the acts, stating security organs are investigating. The incident has fueled debate, with some accusing Kazoora of seeking sympathy, while others see it as a genuine security concern.
