NATIONAL – President Museveni has challenged religious leaders to focus on relevant ministries that engineer the right against poverty at the household level.
Museveni who was represented by the premier Rhobinah Nnabanja during the commissioning of North Ankole diocese mission hospital that is undergoing construction and 3.0KM North Ankore diocese access road that was pledged by the president and constructed by CICO and supervised by Uganda National Roads Authority(UNRA)on Sunday 7th April 2024 at St.Emmanuel cathedral in Rushere town council said whereas spiritual nourishment is important,it is not the only aspect of religious ministry.
President Museveni said the government recognizes the significant contribution of North Ankole diocese in extending social services to the people , especially in health and education sectors.
In his remarks,the out-going Bishop of North Ankole diocese,Rt.Rev.Steven Namanya applauded the government for supporting the diocese.
