NTUNGAMO – The Rushenyi County potential Member of Parliament Mr Fideli Mubangizi has rallied musicians in Ntungamo district and Uganda at large to embrace government programs aiming at eradicating poverty in their households.
He made the remarks while addressing hundreds of Ntungamo dwellers and others from neighboring districts including Mbarara, Kabale, Rukungiri, Kisoro, Rwampara, Isingiro among others who had thronged NM Motel Rubaare-Ntungamo during the launch of “Nibweija kushesha Album” on Wednesday 29th May 2024.
He said NRM government initiated programmes like Parish Development Model, Women Entrepreneurship fund, Emyooga, Youth livelihood among others and is optimistic that the programmes will mop-up the syndrome of subsistence to enter into the money economy.
Mr Fideli Mubangizi who was also the guest of honour thanked all the people who witnessed the launch and urged the political leaders and civil servants to always do the same to all categories of musicians.
He openly requested for support in the forthcoming 2025 NRM primary election as MP Rushenyi county flag bearer which will lead him to the general elections 2026.
Mr Mubangizi urged all Ntungamo dwellers to avoid violent elections at every step either NRM primaries or general elections at all levels since life does not end after elections.
In the same alignment and at the same function, the speaker Ntungamo district Mr Nicholas Twikirize canvassed for the support as he is prepared to contest for LC V chairmanship in general elections come 2026.
