BUSHENYI, UGANDA – In a rousing call to action, Annet Birora, a renowned NRM supporter and mobilizer, has urged Ugandans to throw their weight behind President Museveni, the National NRM Chairman, and all party flag bearers, to ensure the country’s continued progress. Her appeal comes just a week after the presidential visit to Bushenyi district, as the nation prepares for the 2026 general elections.
According to Birora, the NRM’s continued dominance in Ankole and beyond is a surefire recipe for improved service delivery, peace, unity, sustainable development, and wealth creation. “If NRM gains more support in Ankole, it’s a win for the region and the country,” she declared.
A trailblazer in her own right, Birora recently made history by defeating a seasoned NRM cadre to become the Ibaare Sub County NRM Chairperson. While many had urged her to aim higher, she remained focused on her mission to serve the party and her community.

Birora is convinced that President Museveni’s leadership has been instrumental in Uganda’s development, and that his re-election is crucial to the country’s continued prosperity. “President Museveni can win with more than 90% if Ugandans reflect on NRM’s achievements,” she asserted, emphasizing the party’s commitment to protecting the gains made so far.
As the NRM gears up for the 2026 elections, Birora’s message is clear: support the party, support President Museveni, and let’s continue on the path of sustainable development and progress.
