MITOOMA, UGANDA – The Ruhinda South Legislator, Hon. Captain Mugabe Dononzio Kahonda, has expressed concern over the politics of hate speech and urged residents of Mitooma to focus on service delivery and humanity leadership.
Kahonda made the call on Thursday, November 20, 2025, during his rallies in Rurehe sub-county, covering areas such as Rubanga, Omukempunu, Miami, Omukayaga, Kigimbi, Omurukaaka, Ryengyerero, Buhasha, and Rwanja.
He noted that politics often leads to the spread of misinformation, and residents should evaluate candidates based on their service delivery and capacity, rather than rumors aimed at tarnishing reputations.
Some residents expressed their desire for leaders who prioritize development and avoid hate speech, saying they are looking for someone who can maintain the streak of development in the area.
