NEWS – Mitooma District Woman Member Of Parliament Honourable Juliet Agasha Bashiisha has called on Christians to start imparting displine into the young generation if the church is to have a sustainable future.
Hon Agasha Juliet made the call on Sunday 1st December 2024 while speaking as the Guest Of Honour at the ground breaking ceremony of the construction of new church for Kyankukwe Church Of Uganda Parish ,a function that was held at church premises in Mitooma Sub County Mitooma district.
Hon Juliet noted that however the old are trying to build church es ,there is a need for them to impart displine to their children so as to have those churches sustainable.
She further stressed that there is a need for parents to fight HIV increase in young generation through providing career guidance to the young ones.
The Woman MP contributed shs 2millions, pledged 50 bags of cement and promised more support towards the construction of the new church.
Delivering his sermon, the Sub Dean of West Ankole diocese, Venerable Reverend John Makulu asked christians to be accountable to the funds collected ,be strict for quality so that the work of God can be glorified.
Meanwhile Reverand Shedrack Musasizi, the Kyankukwe Parish head noted that over 600bags of cement were collected and ten million shs cash was also received.
He said this is an indication that christians are ready to embrace this development and thanked Honourable Agasha Juliet Bashisha for the big push she has given to the church.
