Mucunguzi Alex was caught with the stolen chicken at Omukidandari Trading Centre. Residents fined him and made him sign an agreement to never steal again.
Complainants Mugabe Leonard and Katushabe Jackline said they had lost several animals, causing fear in the area.
Mucunguzi Alex admitted to the theft, pleaded for forgiveness, and accepted the fine. Local councillor Hon. Mugarura Johnbosco condemned the act, blaming it on laziness, and urged parents to guide their children.
