BUSHENYI – A 35 year old man has hanged himself in Rwengyeya village, Karaaro Parish, Kyeizooba Sub County in Bushenyi district.
The deceased is Magyezi David who on 30th March 2024 returned home while drunk and violently attacked his mother Kasumali Jadress 65 years and his sister Baketenga Sharon aged 23 with a panga injuring them severely.
Its reported that immediately after the incident, Magyezi escaped and disappeared at 31st March 2024 when his body was found hanging in an eucalyptus tree in Deus’s tree plantation and then residents led by chairman communicated to Rwentuha Police for proper action.
Police swung into action and commenced inquiries vide DEF 007/2024, crime scene was visited, witnesses interviewed and their statements were recorded by SOCO together with a team of detectives, then body taken ti Kyeizooba Hospital for postmortem.
The Greater Bushenyi Police mouth piece SSP Martial Tumusiime confirmed this incident to journalists and revealed that the victims whom Magyezi injured are now admitted at Doctor’s Clinic Rwentuha with severe cut injuries on their bodies.
