BUSHENYI – Fire has razed the office of the Headmaster Kijumo Model Primary School in Kabare Parish, Kakanju Sub County destroying properties including documents like result slips,computer and cupboard.
The incident happened on Thursday 28th November 2024 at around 05:50am and was reported to police on the same day at around 10am by School’s director Ayebazibwe Caroline 40 years a resident of Kabare Village, Kabare, Parish, Kakanju Sub County in Bushenyi district.
By the time of the incident, the school had already closed and there were no pupils and residents of the area gathered and managed to stop the fire from spreading.
A case of Arson was opened vide CRB 1004/2024, Scene of crime visited, examined and documented by the soco and a team of detectives. Statements were also obtained from relevant witnesses.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident stressing that inquries are still at hand.
