KASESE,UGANDA – Territorial Police in Hima Division, Kasese District have registered a fatal road crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Monday, 30th June 2026 at around 4:00pm.
The crash occurred at Kinyamwenge, Hima Township along the Kasese-Fort Portal Highway. It involved motor vehicle Reg No. UBB 111A, a Toyota Corona driven by Francis Gumisiriza, and motorcycle Reg No. UFM 851J, a Senke ridden by male juvenile Birungi Faruku.
According to police, the juvenile rider was allegedly making an abrupt U-turn in the middle of the road when he was knocked by the oncoming vehicle. He fell and died instantly at the scene.
The scene was visited, processed, and documented by OC Traffic Hima, AIP Kategaya Naboth and team. The body was conveyed to Kasese Municipal Mortuary for postmortem. Both motor vehicle UBB 111A and motorcycle UFM 851J were taken to Hima Police Station pending inspection by the Inspector of Vehicles.

“People under age are not supposed to ride or drive because they cannot make proper decisions on their own,” police said.
Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
