Mitooma, Uganda – In a swift response to a suspected murder in Bikungu Village, Mitooma District, the Greater Bushenyi Police have launched a thorough investigation following the tragic discovery of the lifeless body of Runwa Osbert, a 50-year-old man in the community.
Bamuhindwire Edinansi, a vigilant resident of Bikungu Village, reported the incident to the authorities after finding Osbert lying along the road to his home with injuries on his head.
The police immediately took action by visiting the scene, gathering statements from witnesses, and sending the body to Kitagata Hospital for further examination.
Despite the challenges posed by the heavy rain and the lack of initial leads, the police have vowed to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice.
The community is urged to remain vigilant and provide any information that could assist in identifying and apprehending the suspects involved in this unfortunate incident.
This incident was confirmed by the Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime who stressed that inquiries are still at hand.
