BUSHENYI, UGANDA – The Bushenyi district traffic police department is investigating a fatal road accident that occurred on December 11, 2025, at approximately 7:00 pm along Kizinda-Rutooma road, Nyamizi, Bushenyi district. A white Fuso truck (Reg. No. UBD 052W) collided with a motorcycle (Reg. No. UFR 859B), resulting in the death of the motorcyclist, Nuwahereza Allan.
Preliminary investigations suggest reckless driving as the suspected cause of the crash. Police visited the scene of the accident and managed it according to standard operating procedure. The deceased’s body was taken to Ishaka Adventist Hospital Mortuary for post-mortem examination.
The vehicle and motorcycle involved are in police custody to facilitate ongoing investigations. The driver is still at large, and the police are appealing to the public for information leading to their arrest.
“We strongly urge all road users to always exercise caution and follow traffic rules to prevent such incidents,” said police spokesperson Apollo Tayebwa. “We pledge our commitment to prosecute all those who do the contrary.”
The police extend their sympathies to the deceased’s family and pledge to keep the public updated on any new developments.
