BUSHENYI – Former State Attorney Counsel Chris Muganzi has blamed the poor application of Multi -Party System for failure and decline of Opposition Parties in Uganda.
Speaking to our reporter in Bushenyi recently, Chris Muganzi who is now practising advocay said the fact that the ruling party remains the key player in the country’s political game and actions in the country, Opposition Party leaders and members get free space to express their full rights.
Chris Muganzi commonly known as Enganzi ya Municipality a former Bushenyi – Ishaka Municipality MP Candidate beleives that Ugandans now trust individual character than political party background and status in the country with exception of National Resistance Movement (NRM) that dominates Ugandan Politics.
He revealed that the Multiparty system and remained in books and in the Country’s construction but not being applicable on ground since its dominated by the Governing party (NRM).
“Only NRM (Ruling Party) Members gets free and fair space to express themselves with all full rights but opposition members like those of NUP most face hardships and limitations”, Chris Muganzi narrated.
Chris Muganzi who openly revealed that he wants to again stand for MP Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality on an independent ticket, vowed to continue sensitizing the public to always avoid bribes during the campaign/election period since he knows its also a dorminant vice in Ugandan politics.
