BUSHENYI,UGANDA— Bushenyi District youth have marked their Youth Day in style, endorsing General Muhoozi Kainerugaba for President in 2031 and beyond.
The day was marked on Saturday 7th November 2026 under the theme _”Empowering the young people for inclusive wealth creation and sustainable development”_ at Kizinda Playgrounds in Bushenyi District.
The celebrations started with cleaning Bushenyi Health Centre IV, showcasing cultural dances, youth innovation exhibition and launching a youth project.
The youth project launched is *”Bushenyi Youth Concrete Bricks and Pavers Project Factory”* where the youth will target production of concrete bricks, pavers tiles, interlocking pavers and hollow blocks as an income-generating initiative to fight unemployment.
The day was organized by Bushenyi District youth under the leadership of District Youth Chairperson Atwiine Bruce, Namanya Sharifu NRM Youth League Chairperson, National Youth Secretariat / League amongst all youth leaders.
The event was well attended with guests including Hon Hajji Iddi Basajjabalaba – MP Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality, Hon Katusiime Annet Mugisha – Bushenyi Woman MP, Twebaze Prosper – District Chairman Bushenyi, Katsigazi Williams Donanto – Deputy RDC Bushenyi, among other leaders, mostly youths from all parts of Bushenyi.
Students from Kyamuhunga Secondary, Ruyonza School, St Kagwa High School, Bishop Ogez High School were also present, with Kahaya Technical Institute participating in the exhibition.
At the climax, the youth together with all invited leaders endorsed Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chairman Patriotic League of Uganda and current Chief of Defence Forces, for President of Uganda for 2031 and beyond.
