NYAKABIRIZI- A 42 year Old man has narrowly survived death after he locked himself inside the house and set it on fire and took poison.
The Victim is Mugizi David 42 years a casual worker resident of Rutooma Village, Numba Parish, Bumbaire Sub County in Bushenyi district who has been working in the farm of Twinomugisha Dickens for the last two years.
Before locking himself into the house and setting it on fire and taking poison (tactick), he first left with the bicycle of his boss and didnot come back with it and was very drunk. After residents saw smoke and fire coming out of the house they ran and rescued him, by now he is receiving treatment at KIU Teaching hospital Ishaka.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed this incident to press stressing that inquiries are still ongoing vide Bushenyi CRB 529/2024.
