Bushenyi,Uganda – Bushenyi District is celebrating a double blessing following the appointment of Hon. Katusiime Annet Mugisha to two key leadership positions within a few days.
A few days ago, Hon. Katusiime was appointed as a Member of the Committee on Presidential Affairs in the Parliament of Uganda. This committee oversees matters of national importance and guides government on policy and accountability.
On Friday, July 10, 2026, she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Roads Committee, Bushenyi District. In this role, she will spearhead efforts to improve road infrastructure, connectivity, and access for farmers, traders, students, and all residents across Bushenyi.
This recognition is well-deserved. In her last term, Hon. Katusiime emerged as the best-performing Woman Member of Parliament in the entire Western Uganda. Due to her hard work, dedication, and tangible results, she was overwhelmingly given another term with a significant percentage of votes.
She is reportedly the only Woman MP from Western Uganda who returned to Parliament, a clear testimony that the people trust her leadership and service delivery.
For Bushenyi, these appointments are a sign of trust and a blessing. We believe her experience and commitment will translate into better roads, better markets, better schools, and better health services for our communities.
