SAD NEWS – Police in Buhweju district are investigating circustances surrounding the suspected murder of Baryagwa Andrew a resident of Rwanyamabare Village in Nyakishana Sub County.
Some residents told this website that the deceased has been having a land wrangle with his brother Kantu Joseph who is now on run.
Its alleged that the deceased was attacked in the night between 8th and 9th November 2024 by unknown person then kiled him and later dumped the body in his banana plantation. The body was seen in the morning by the deceased’s daughter Arinanye Anita who informed other people and later a report was made at police.
Police immediately swung into action, visited the scen, recorded statements from relevant witnesses and conveyed the body of the deceased to Nsiika Health Center IV for postmortem.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirms the incident stressing that inquiries are at hand to trace the suspect(s) and have him/her arrested and also assist in police investigations.
