Rubanda,Uganda – Territorial police in Rubanda have registered a fatal road accident in which Alex Ahimbisibwe was knocked dead by a motorcycle, registration number UFR 712N, Bajaj Boxer.
The accident occurred on Tuesday, 22nd April 2026, at around 9:00 p.m. at Habutobere village, Muko Sub-county, along the Kabale–Kisoro road in Rubanda District.
Police say the rider was traveling from the Kisoro direction toward Kabale when he lost control at the Muko market boda boda stage and knocked Ahimbisibwe, who worked as a broker at the stage.
According to Kigezi Police Spokesperson ASP Elly Maate, a team led by AIP Mwine from the traffic department responded to the scene. The body was taken to Muko Health Centre IV for postmortem. The motorcycle is parked at Rubanda Police Station pending inspection by the Inspector of Vehicles.
Efforts to arrest the rider are ongoing. Inquiries continue.
