Bushenyi, Uganda – Bushenyi District Council Deputy Speaker Hon. Annet Tibamanya has formally announced her candidacy for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Bushenyi District.
Speaking to The Server Uganda on Sunday, April 27, 2025, Tibamanya expressed her readiness to fulfill all duties assigned by the party authorities.
This declaration comes as incumbent party chairman, El Hajji Hassan Basajjabalaba, is widely anticipated to secure re-election.
Basajjabalaba’s strong standing within the party makes him a likely victor against emerging challengers.
Tibamanya, who has served as a District Councillor for Ishaka Division and as Deputy Speaker of Bushenyi District Council since 2016, cited a profound commitment to the party and a desire to serve her constituents as motivations for her candidacy. She emphasized that this is the opportune moment to contribute to her community.
Annet Tibamanya resides in Katungu Cell, Ward III, Ishaka Division, Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality, within Bushenyi District, Western Uganda.
