NEWS- Police in Kazo District are investigating a case of adulteration of water that was reported by Ketty Rwakajara a female adult aged 39 years old a businesswoman resident of Bongo cell Kanoni subcounty in Kazo District on 06/06/2024.
It’s alleged that on the 05/06/2024 at unknown time,unknown persons put suspected poison in water sources(dams) which are located at Bongo cell belonging to a one Ketty Rwakajara causing all the fish in one of the pounds to die and affecting the cows on the farm.
According to preliminary investigations it was established that there’s a land dispute on the said land between the complainant and District leaders which case is in court .
According to Rwizi Police Spokeperson SP Samson Kasasira,police recovered a bottle of rocket and white powder suspected to be poison on the farm and samples of water were also collected for a toxicology analysis. The Veterinary doctor was contacted to examine affected animals on the farm. Inquiries into the matter are still ongoing.
