Bushenyi,Uganda – A devastating storm has left Judith Kyogabirwe, a mother of three, without a home in Kanyabukimba village, Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality. The heavy rain on March 9th, 2026, destroyed her residential house, leaving her and her children struggling to find shelter.
Judith, a resident of Bugomora cell Ward three, is now appealing for financial assistance to rebuild her home. With no clear direction on where to turn, she’s counting on the kindness of others to help her family get back on their feet.
The incident has left Judith’s children traumatized, and they’re currently staying with a neighbor. “I’m worried about my kids, they’re still shaken by what happened,” Judith said. “I just want to give them a safe place to live.”

The village has rallied around Judith, with some community members offering temporary shelter and food. Local leaders are also working to mobilize resources to support her. “We’re doing our best to help Judith and her family,” said a village elder. “We appeal to well-wishers to support us in this effort.”
Judith’s story has sparked an outpouring of support, with many calling for donations to help her rebuild her home. Anyone willing to help can reach out to the Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality authorities or local community leaders.
