BUSHENYI, UGANDA – A woman, identified by neighbors as Prossy, a mobile money attendant in Basajja, has been rushed to KIU Teaching Hospital after allegedly taking poison.
Prossy, a resident of Katungu Cell, Ishaka Division, Bushenyi-Ishaka Municipality, was found in a critical state by neighbors, who broke into her room after discovering a note on her window glass reading “call my parents I have taken poison” with telephone numbers on it.
According to residents, Prossy was last seen drinking alcohol the previous evening and told friends it would be the last time they saw her. By press time, Prossy was receiving treatment at KIU, with medical reports still pending. Police have yet to issue a statement about the incident.
