As the race for the top position in the NRM Entrepreneurs League intensifies, all indications point to Bushenyi’s own Alhajji Hassan Basajabalaba as the leading contender. This prominent investor, businessman, and philanthropist, through his HABA Group of Companies, operates numerous businesses and investments across Uganda and East Africa, earning him widespread admiration for his multiplier effect on the region.
Notably, his investments include Kampala International University and Kampala International University Teaching Hospital, which have significantly contributed to the country’s education and healthcare sectors. Additionally, he has ventures in the tea sector and real estate.
Beyond his business acumen, Alhajji Hassan Basajabalaba has played a pivotal role in the NRM party, serving as a unifying force in greater Bushenyi and undertaking key tasks on behalf of the party and government. In his bid for the Entrepreneurs League leadership, he pledges to forge a strong link between the business community, investors, and the government.

His key objectives include improving Uganda’s investment climate, reducing investment costs to create a conducive business environment, and opening up the country to global business opportunities to boost and expand the Ugandan market. These initiatives are expected to yield numerous benefits, including increased production, job creation, improved living standards, higher incomes, and enhanced infrastructure development.
Given his impressive track record and visionary leadership pledges, what reason could there be to not support Alhajji Hassan Basajabalaba for the leadership of the Entrepreneurs League?
