KiDi, the recipient of the 2022 VGMA Artiste of the Year award, has provided reassurance that Kuami Eugene is safe and sound following the recent car accident involving him crashing into a truck last Sunday.
In a recent interview with content creator Kwadwo Sheldon, KiDi, who is also associated with Lynx Entertainment, Kuami Eugene’s record label, affirmed that people react differently to such incidents but expressed confidence that Kuami Eugene is recovering well and that “everything is alright.”
“It’s common for individuals to respond differently to unexpected events. Everyone can be assured that he will recover,” he stated.

Kuami Eugene sustained injuries in a car crash on Sunday, March 17, at CP, near the DSTV office toward the Dzorwulu traffic light in Accra.
According to Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, the Editor of the Modern Ghana news portal who witnessed the accident, he was trailing behind the musician’s car when the incident occurred around 11:30 pm.
He explained that a tipper truck was moving slowly when the musician collided with it from behind.
He attributed the accident to the darkness on the N1 highway due to the absence of street lights, compounded by the tipper truck lacking tail lights, which further reduced visibility.
He noted that Kuami Eugene was accompanied by one male passenger, and when he went to assist, other motorists who stopped at the scene volunteered to rush Kuami Eugene and his passenger to the hospital while he remained behind until the police arrived.
Lynx Entertainment corroborated Mr. Abugri’s account in a statement on Monday and assured the public that Kuami Eugene is receiving medical attention and responding well to treatment.
