KIGEZI – Police in Rukiga are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of a 24 year old Dismus Turyasingura a resident of Mwendo cell Nyanja parish Maziba sub county Kabale district.
The incident happened on Tuesday 05/09/2024 at night hours at Rwanyamutare cell Bukinda sub county Rukiga district and was reported to police on the 18/09/2024 by Ruth Amutuhaire a business woman.
It’s alleged that on Tuesday 05/09/2024 at around 4pm, the deceased went to the party which was at the home of one Robert at Kamafuni cell, and there after at night hours, the deceased and two others yet to be identified, went to the home of Paddy allegedly to steal from therein, where the he was caught and beaten to death while his two associates took off. After the incident at Kamafuni, they carried him to Rwanyamutate cell where he was later discovered dead.

Statements recorded from witnesses and the decomposed body was conveyed to Kabale Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for Postmortem and later was handed over to the relatives for burial.
Kigezi Region Police Spokersperson Asp Elly Maate confirmed this incident stressing that efforts to have those involved be arrested and prosecuted, are being made.
