GREATER BUSHENYI – A 64 year old man has died suddenly while in Sauna at Peak Hotel in Central division, Bushenyi district.
The incident happened on Wednesday 18th December 2024 at around 9:30pm when a 64 year old Rugasa Mpijjah was found lying unconscious in the sauna where he had gone for steam bath shortly after seeking massage services. He was rushed to KIU teaching Hospital Ishaka for treatment, where he was later pronounced dead.
The deceased is a Munyankore by tribe who has Katoki working with Global Tea Factory and a resident of Mayanga, Kizinda-Kigoma Town Council in Bushenyi district.
Police Inquiries were opened vide Bushenyi D.E.F 027/2024, Scene visited by a team of detectives and soco and statements were recorded from relevant witnesses.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident stressing that inquiries are still at hand.
