- Bushenyi, Uganda – St. Kagwa High School of Bushenyi emerged victorious in the Ankole Sub-region USSSA Tournament, held in Bushenyi district.
The team, showcasing impressive defensive play and some spectacular saves from goalkeeper Jordan, defeated Ibanda Secondary School 1-0 in a thrilling final played before a massive crowd at Bushenyi Main Stadium.
This victory marks a significant achievement for St. Kagwa, adding to their already impressive title haul.
They’ve now secured the zone, district, and now sub-region championships. Throughout the tournament, they demonstrated strong resilience, conceding just two goals.
The Ankole Sub-region USSSA Tournament provided a platform for several teams to shine.
Four schools, including St. Kagwa HS, Ibanda SS, Nyamitanga SS, and Kicwamba HS have earned qualification to the national level competition, promising an exciting continuation of the tournament’s success.
