NYAKASHARU, RUBIRIZI — Ndekye Secondary School has held a 3-day Scripture Union Conference focusing on hope, unity and stability.
The call was made by Rev. Alone Turyatemba and Mr. Ntwirenabo Gideon, Evangelists from West Ankole Diocese. They warned learners against early sexual activities, escaping school and bad peer groups that can lead them into problems.
Mr. Isingoma Francis Bajozi, Deputy Headteacher in charge of Academics, said the conference was organized to restore learners’ faith, hope, discipline and morals, and to help them discover themselves and know Christ as their savior.

Rev. Jolly, the school chaplain, noted that Ndekye SS holds the conference annually to encourage learners to turn to God. He said it helps them repent, increases their faith and improves academic performance.
Meanwhile, Scripture Union student leaders Mumbere Derick and Kyobutungi Hope thanked the administration for the moral guidance. They said lessons on self-discovery, purity, self-love and personal hygiene will help them in discipline, academics and personal growth.
