NSIIKA, BUHWEJU – Dr. Muhamya Philip, former Buhweju District LC5 candidate commonly known as Panadol Extra, has vowed to stand with the people of Buhweju until they get competent and non-selective leaders.
Speaking on Friday 9th October 2026 at Nsiika Playground during celebrations where WPNCA Buhweju District was marking 10 years on Independence Day, Dr. Muhamya thanked residents who love unity and fighting for their rights.
“I am with you and we must stand strong together. The habit of stealing votes must stop now,” he said.

Dr. Muhamya contested for LC5 Chairman in the January elections on an independent ticket after controversially losing in NRM primaries. He lost to incumbent Chairman Mr. Atuhaire Deo alias Omuhatiizi who is serving his second term, but never conceded defeat, alleging irregularities. He challenged the results in court and awaits judgement.
He declared total support for the endorsement of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chairman of PLU, for presidency in 2031.
The event was organized by WPNCA in conjunction with PLU Buhweju Chapter, BCTI and BAWE, with chief guest Honourable Nnamara Annet Oyes Byamukama.
