MITOOMA – In a bid to promote mindset change towards economic transformation in youths ,the Office of Mitooma district Woman Member of Parliament has held a one day finance management seminar to all youths leaders in Mitooma district.
According to Hon Agasha Juliet Bashisha, the Mitooma district Woman Member of arliament who facilitated this seminar she found it necessary after the youths brought to her their proposal to have an investment and through lobying as leaders they got for them 30millions from the Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Thomas Tayeebwa and she decided to give them a training before they start using this money to enable them to be strategic.
Speaking during this seminar, the Mitooma district chairperson Benon Karyeija noted that there is is a need for all youths to be objective and desist from a habit of defaulting whenever they are given some money to support them.
Meanwhile, Adriano Namanya the Mitooma Subcounty Youths leader who was the chief organiser of this training noted that through their dream of creating an event management investment,their Members of Parliament have given them support and from the seminar they have been able to learn many things such as sustainablity of funds ,hardwork and on how they can change the mindset of other youths.
Closing the seminar, the Mitooma district RDC Francis Kibuka Amooti asked all leaders to emulate what Hon Agasha Juliet Bashisha has done by equipping the youths with knowledge that can make them rich forever.
