NEWS — Minister of State for Local Government, Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi, will be in Mbarara City next Tuesday for an oversight visit on government programme implementation and the fight against corruption.
The visit is also a personal homecoming. Balaam was born at Mbarara Hospital on 28th July 1979 after his parents traveled from Karamoja following his father’s arrest.
He will hold a public Baraza at Mayor’s Park starting at 4:00pm. Residents have been invited to raise concerns on service delivery and report corruption cases.
The Ministry of Local Government says community participation is key to ensuring effective use of public resources.
