Kitagwenda, Uganda – Employees of Love FM (RUKUNDO) 95.8 FM in Kitagwenda district are on the verge of laying down their tools due to alleged poor working conditions under Station Manager Turyasingura Ephraim, also known as Salongo. The radio station, which is a sister station to Endigito Radio in Mbarara and Hits Radio in Fort Portal, is managed by Hon. MP Nuru Byamukama Joseph.
According to sources, the management has been misrepresenting the radio’s financial situation, claiming it is still young and struggling, despite employees working hard to generate revenue. Staff members have reportedly gone months without pay, with some having not received a salary in over a year. This has led to some employees quitting their jobs in search of better opportunities.
The situation has been further complicated by allegations of favoritism and exploitation, with some employees claiming they are forced to engage in unprofessional activities. The recent resignation of an assistant news editor has brought the issues to a head, with remaining staff members calling for intervention from the directorate to address their grievances.

Attempts to reach the Station Manager for comment were unsuccessful. The employees are now seeking help from the relevant authorities to resolve the crisis and ensure their welfare.

If it’s true,,,,,, God will reward those hulligans, who think that being a manager or in a big position guarantee them treat the employees as slaves.
