OPIONION – Greetings to you all Ugandans, those in the country and those living abroad, lets look into this issue;
Ugandan government recently appointed Assistant RDC’s and RCC’s adding them on the RDC’s and Deputy RDC’s, all these represent President Museveni in different districts/Cities.
Uganda had atleast 300 RDC’s including their Deputies and these have been earning around ugx 5 million per month to cater for their rent, security, transport among others all on tax payer’s cost and now given that they also have Assistant RDC’s, the budget for RDC’s office must increase.

Its heartbreaking to most Ugandans who have already been complaining about the excess number of Parliamentarians and Ministers in the country, Like this ministry held by Hon Babalanda its not helpful to Ugandans and such ministries instead of being abolished, the men and women in power are creating more money chewing posts in the country.
As per tax collections, Uganda collects shs 29 trillions but 8 trillions have been going to salaries and now they have added Assistant RDC’s meaning the expenditure on salaries in the country must also increase.
As Ugandans, we would like to see government injecting money in improving infrastructure like roads, electricity, building and equiping institutions like schools and hospitals which are essential to the Ugandan citizen. This is a country where some parents cannot afford school fees, medical fees or even feed their families due to poverty they pay tax. When you visit the few schools or hospitals owned by government most of them are in a poor state.
I think the problem is only one; having leaders are selfish and materialistic becausd they just mind their own businesses instead of think about Ugandans who sent most of them to power. These leaders want good and luxury things like unneccessary trips, houses, cars plus creating employment opportunities for only their relatives and friends forgetting Ugandans who have spent money educating their children but they are now crying due to high unemployment rate in the country.
Actually, i pitty Ugandans who openly say they love President Museveni and the current government because it seems the government doesn’t care about them. Time for elections is near, please Ugandans have vision, vote leaders who will help you and don’t sell your vote as Col Dr Kizza Besigye has always asvised us. You and i have a big role of transforming this country.
