MBARARA – As the country gears up for the forthcoming national census, preparations are in high gear in different districts across Ankole region with most Districts commencing the preparations with the training of numerators.
The training includes equipping the enumerators with essential skills and knowledge including the use of the new gadgets currently being delivered to the districts by Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS).
This, according to the local leaders is meant to ensure the field officers effectively carry out their duties during the upcoming census.
David Muhwezi, the Chief Administrative Officer of Mbarara, disclosed to our reporter that 412 enumerators across all 11 sub-counties in the district are receiving training in preparation for the census.
Muhwezi is currently urging Ugandans to prepare for the forthcoming census.
