Rubirizi,Uganda – Hon Cadet Benjamin has cautioned youth against engaging in evil acts, urging them to protect themselves from negative peer groups, early marriages, and drug abuse, which can ruin their lives. Speaking during Easter celebrations at Ndekye Achidiconary in Rubirizi District, Hon Cadet Benjamin emphasized that early marriages and drug abuse compromise a child’s development and limit their opportunities.
He reminded parents to work together, love their children, and instill values like humility, sacrifice, and perseverance. Ven Canon Rev Yorokamu Tayebwa, the Achidicon for Ndekye Achidiconary, led the church service and urged faithfuls to embrace harmony, reconciliation, and spiritual renewal.
Rev Tayebwa reminded Christians that Jesus sacrificed and died for them, and urged them to shun sin and focus on repentance and hard work. He warned parents that neglecting their children would lead to no positive change in their homes, and encouraged them to prioritize education as an investment in their families.
