BUHWEJU – UGANDA
A fugitive Woman Member of Parliament a four time Aspirant since 2010 Natukunda Ameria commonly Known as Kantona, who contested in the recent held Buhweju district Woman MP elections; is currently on the run after allegedly selling her land to raise campaign funds and refusing to honor the agreement.
Kantona, the former Buhweju District NRM Executive member came the least with 1,447 votes (3.19%) out of the three contestants in 2025 NRM primaries and later stood as a independent candidate in the recent held elections where she was defeated by the very Nnamara Annet Oyes Byamukama, the NRM flag bearer, who secured her first position as Buhweju District Woman Mp elect with 30,875 votes (60.73%).
Some of the land buyers Tumuhereze JohnBosco, Bikorwomuhangi Francis among others are awesomely looking for Kantona who failed to consider the agreement and sold the very land to other individuals as witnessed by Buhurutukye George Local Council One Chairperson of the area.
Locals are questioning Kantona’s leadership qualities, saying she was “overrated for being noisy”other than being an example.
