RUBIRIZI – The Woman Member of Parliament for Rubirizi District, Hon. Arinaitwe Jeniva Nalongo, has called upon fellow local leaders and technical staff to work together and combine efforts in fighting corruption and shoddy work in government projects.
Hon. Nalongo made the call on Monday while addressing residents, technical staff, religious and local leaders during the Rubirizi District Budget Conference held at the district headquarters.
She said there is need to ensure maximum value for money in all government projects so that the community gets quality and better service delivery.
She noted that shoddy work and corruption in government projects has greatly affected service delivery and denied residents the benefits of government programs.
She emphasized that when leaders and technical staff work as a team, monitor projects closely, and ensure accountability, government services will reach the people effectively.
The conference was aimed at setting priorities for the next financial year and ensuring the budget is results-oriented and inclusive for all.
