RUBIRIZI – The LCV Chairman of Rubirizi District, Agaba Obed Byakureka, has informed residents that the Hon. Minister of Local Government is expected to visit the district on 29th October 2026.
In a public notice to the people of Rubirizi, Chairman Agaba condemned what he described as misleading statements, negative propaganda and acts of sabotage intended to undermine ongoing district programmes.
He said some individuals are portraying ongoing programmes as being implemented out of fear of the Minister’s visit.

“Let us remain focused. District programmes shall continue uninterrupted. The Minister’s visit is intended to strengthen service delivery, correct any identified gaps, and further support areas of good performance,” Agaba said in the notice.
The Chairman called for unity ahead of the visit, urging residents and leaders not to allow division.
“Nothing should divide us. Let us unite for the development of Rubirizi District,” he added.
The Minister’s visit is expected to focus on assessing service delivery, supporting local government performance and addressing challenges affecting the district.
