Bushenyi District Woman MP Hon. Annet Katusiime Mugisha has rallied residents of Bushenyi to turn up in large numbers and endorse Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba for presidency in 2031 and beyond.
Bushenyi will host top leaders of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) on 17th October 2026 at Kizinda Playground to officially endorse Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is the Chairman of PLU, for Uganda’s presidency. The chief guest is expected to be Hon. David Kabanda.
PLU is currently on a nationwide drive to collect over 20 million signatures to ensure that Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who is now serving as Chief of Defence Forces, appears on the ballot for Uganda’s top seat in 2031.
The Woman MP was speaking to the media shortly after the thanksgiving service of Bushenyi RDC Mr. Emmy Ngabirano held at the District Headquarters on Thursday, 8th October 2026. The service was presided over by the Bishop of West Ankole, Rt. Rev. Johnson Twinomujuni.
At least 40 million shillings was collected towards the ongoing renovation and expansion of St. Peter’s Cathedral, Bweranyangi, the headquarters of the Anglican Diocese of West Ankole.
Hon. Katusiime called upon Ugandans to massively endorse Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba if they want transparency, steady progress, stable leadership, peace, unity, prosperity and patriotism.
“Even on 7th November 2026, come in large numbers. We shall host PLU’s Head of Mobilization, Hon. Michael Mawanda, on Youth Day. We should endorse Gen. Muhoozi massively,” she said.
The thanksgiving attracted various categories of people, including Members of Parliament, religious leaders, district leadership, technical staff and friends, among others.
