MITOOMA, UGANDA – Honourable Captain Mugabe Dononzio Kahonda, the incumbent Ruhinda South Legislator, has expressed disappointment and frustration over a candidate claiming credit for his achievements in Mayanga subcounty.
Speaking to residents of Mayanga subcounty, Kahonda noted that some candidates have made it a habit of claiming his achievements, including infrastructural development, schools, roads, and health centers, which he says is unacceptable.
Kahonda emphasized that he has worked hard to deliver results, either through his own efforts or lobbying, and cautioned residents to be wary of empty and false promises by some leaders. “Someone is standing and claiming my achievements to be his, yet he has not even achieved 1% of the power to do them,” he said.

The legislator urged residents to appreciate leaders for their services and focus on those who can provide tangible results. He highlighted his achievements, including rehabilitated roads, upgrading Mayanga Health Centre II to Health Centre III, and establishing Mayanga Seed School, among others.
Kahonda emphasized that as a leader, he is focused on service delivery and urged residents to support leaders who share the same vision. His comments come ahead of the upcoming elections, where he is seeking re-election.
