BUSHENYI, UGANDA – The Bushenyi District Barazas, presided over by Senior RDC Ngabirano Emmy, aim to bring government services closer to the community and improve accountability. The initiative seeks to assess the district’s service delivery scorecard, gather feedback from beneficiaries, and identify areas for improvement.
During the launch, Senior RDC Ngabirano Emmy emphasized the importance of protecting the gains made by the government under the leadership of H.E. Museveni. The district is also preparing to host the National HIV/AIDS day on December 1, 2025, with H.E. Museveni expected as the Guest of Honor.
Dr. Stephen Bwekingo Twinomugisha, the Bushenyi District Health Officer, highlighted the district’s higher HIV/AIDS prevalence rate of 8% compared to the national average of 4.9%. He urged the community to adopt the ABC (Abstain, Be faithful, Use Condom) approach to mitigate the spread of HIV/AIDS.
