- KIGEZI – The Easter celebration is at the doorway and we very much know that such festivals are associated with many activities that include among others, evil or wrong deeds.
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was to redeem us from sin for eternal life, therefore we don’t expect people to celebrate it in a sinful manner.
As far as security is concerned, the police and other sister security forces are on the high alert to ensure that the festival season is fully polished and ends peacefully.
But remember that as far as security is concerned, each one of us has a role to play in the prevention and the fight of crime for a crime free society.

It’s on this note therefore that the police are asking the public to celebrate consciously amidst these days that there are terror threats.
All entertainment centers, worshiping places and celebrating areas are supposed to beef up security and remain extra alert and very observant and use metal detectors and walk through machines, plus the guards and bouncers in those places should be on the constant lookout and should work closely with the police to avert any situation, once need be.
The local leaders and the general public should be security conscious and vigilant enough to any suspicious objects/persons which must be reported in time to avoid any associated consequences.
People going for night prayers and all those who can’t avoid moving in the night, should move early enough, avoid lonely movements, dark and isolated routes and streets and ensure that children are not left to move alone or left at home alone.
Drivers and riders are supposed to remain disciplined and only do what is required of them by law to avoid accidents. and related dangers.
Should avoid over speeding, excessive loading, and making several routes which risk the lives of passengers where the driver must rest and the vehicle shouldn’t be over used.
Make sure you do regular servicing, and avoid drink driving in a way of remaining a wake but also that do it out of excitement.
Otherwise we want to assure you once again that the police and sister forces are on the high alert to ensure that the festival season is celebrated peacefully.
Let’s all celebrate responsibly so that we can go through without regrets.
