Ntungamo, Uganda – Rubaare Secondary School is overjoyed after achieving a remarkable Result One in the 2024 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations.
The students, led by their Head Teacher, Ms. Mpeirwe Monic Atukunda, and school staff members, took to the streets in celebration, briefly closing off a section of the Kabale-Ntungamo road.
Result One signifies that all candidates qualified for a certificate and are eligible to join any higher institution of learning.

Ms. Mpeirwe attributed the success to the hard work and dedication of the students, teachers, and support staff. Notably, the 176 students who sat for the exams were pioneers of the new curriculum at Rubaare Secondary School.
The Head Teacher expressed gratitude to the teachers, School Board of Governors, PTA, and parents for their unwavering support, which contributed significantly to the students’ outstanding performance.
Despite facing challenges, including a fire that destroyed the boys’ dormitory and belongings last year, the school community persevered, and their efforts have paid off.
The celebration was a testament to the school’s commitment to academic excellence and the power of teamwork and determination.
End.
