RUBIRIZI – Rubirizi district Woman Member Of Parliament Hon Kesande Grace Bataringaya has started distribution of Brick Laying machines to all 11 Sub Counties in the district.
The machines are meant to empower they youth women, churches, schools and other groups in fighting poverty in the district.
Hon Kesande Grace says the machines have the capacity of making atleast 10,000 bricks per day and beleives that they will also help in the fight against unemployment especially amongst the youth in the district.
The launching function For the distribution of the Brick Laying Machines was held today Tuesday 4th February 2025 in Kyabikonko, Butoha Parish in Magambo Sub County.
Speaking at the launch, the district Chairperson Mr Aguba Silvester thanked Hon Kesande For empowering the community by giving them machines that will automatically be source of income to many people.
Mr Ssalongo Matia, Chairman Kyabikonko Village Brick Layers says the proccess of making bricks using hands has been tiresome and so expensive For them but with the machines received, they now feel releived.
Rubirizi Deputy RDC Robina Mirembe asked other leaders to come up and promote Peoples’ livehoods by empowering them with income generating projects.
He tasked parents to embrace the hands on skilling (Skills Training) For their children if they want to eradicate poverty from their respective families.
