BUSHENYI – A 5 year old juvenile on Tuesday 17th December drowned to death in Omubwogo Local Council One Kakanju Sub County in Bushenyi district.
The deceased is Pavin Ainomugisha a 5 year boy child top class pupil at Good Hope Nursery and Primary School resident of Omubwogo Village, Kakanju Sub County in Bushenyi district.
Its alleged that Kwikiriza Leo (Father to the deceased) and his wife left the children home and went for their usual businesses. At around 4:30pm, the deceased left his home and went to the well with a 5 litres jerrycan to fetch water in a distance of approximately 100 metres from home.
Later his body was discovered floating on water by residents who had gone to fetch water as well who also informed the father about the same and the matter was reported to Police for further management.
A case of drowning was registered vide Bushenyi D.E.F 026/2024, the scene was visited by a team of detectives with Soco for proper examination and documentation.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident stressing that the body was conveyed to KIU Teaching Hospital Ishaka pending postmortem as inquiries continue.
