BUSHENYI – It was a dramatic day at Bushenyi Main stadium as St Kagwa High School refused to play penalty shootouts against Anour Islamic School (SK) during the Bushenyi Secondary Schools Soccergalla final game.
The game which was played on Friday 22nd March ended 0 – 0 and had to procceed to penalties to decide the district champion. However, St Kagwa High School Fc refused to continue the match claiming it was too late according to the soccergalla’s rules.

On Saturday, responsible authorities had a meeting but could not reach an agreement as St Kagwa wanted the whole match to be replayed which was against Anour’s will. This means the district has no champion for secondary school football games (boys) 2024.

In what looked to be the same drama, the district has no champion for girls (football) since the final match also ended mysteriously.
After a 0-0 draw between Nyabubare Secondary and Kyeizooba, the two sides proceeded to penalty shoutouts but the referee ended the match when penalties were not yet over announcing Nyabubare Secondary as winners which also caused chaos at the pitch. The penalties were still standing at a tie of (4) four.
Bushenyi district Football lovers are now waiting for the decisions to be taken by the district football heads so that they know the final fate.
ENDS.
