SAD NEWS – Police in Rubirizi district have arrested a 29 year old woman on allegations of killing her husband Twimukye Brian 30 years a resident of Ndaragi village, Kakanju Sub County in Bushenyi district.
The Suspect is Tusingwire Agnes a resident of Nyakagyezi Village, Katanda Sub County in Rubirizi district who allegedly ended life of het husband on 20th November 2024 at Katara 1 Village in Kicwamba Sub County.
The suspect and the deceased have been living together for atleast two years with a baby girl and had opened up a small bar for survival though the deceased would always claim that his wife had other men which could end up into domestic violence as even old and fresh scars could be seen on their bodies.
On the fateful night, the two quarreled over a fifty thousand shilling note and in the due fight, the suspect used a panga to cut her husband on the back, neck, arms and left leg and the victim (now deceased) was rushed to Rugazi Health Center IV for treatment but was pronounced dead after one hour.
Police was notified and launched inquiries vide Rubirizi CPS CRB: 476/2024 where officers managed to visit the scene, recorded various statements, issued a PF3 to the victim for medical examination and also arrested the suspect who was found drunk for interviewing.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime Confirmed the incident stressing that police is still inquiring actively into the matter.
