BUSHENYI – Police in Bushenyi district have detained a man for allegedly stabbing to death a 19 year old fellow.
The suspect is Naziru Tumarwe 24 years a resident of Rugooma Cell, Nyabubare Sub County and the deceased is Nuwamanya Augustus a resident of Nyakasojwa, Birindi Parish in Nkanga Sub County.
Its alleged that on 19th November 2024 at around 11pm the suspect stabbed the deceased on the left side of the waste with a knife after developing misunderstandings with him. The deceased was first rushed to KIU Teaching Hospital Ishaka before he was pronounced dead on 20th November 2024 at around 03:00am.
A case of Murder was reported vide CRB 985/2024, crime scene visited, examined and documented by soco plus recording statements from relevant witnesses.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident stressing that inquiries are still at hand.
