BUSHENYI- Two people have seriously been injured after an involvment in an accident at Nyakabirizi along Mbarara-Bushenyi road.
The serious crash happened on Friday 15th November 2024 and involved motorvehicle UAW 652 Toyota Premio and Motorcycle UEP 167K Bajaj boxer red in colour.
The Victims are Kansiime Moses Chairman LC1 Nyakabirizi (passenger on motorcycle) and the rider whose particulars are not yet established.
Its alleged that the driver was from Mbarara side going towards Bushenyi side, on reaching Nyakabirizi he left his lane and knocked the rider who was from Bushenyi direction. The victims were rushed to KIU Hospital by a good Samaritan.
The Greater Bushenyi Police Spokesperson SSP Marcial Tumusiime confirmed the incident stressing that traffic police led by sgt Mukungu assisted by No.40662 Cpl Mugabirwe Allen Visited the scene and documented it plus towing the involved motorcycle and motorvehicle to police yard pending iov inspection.
The suspected Cause of the accident is reckless driving by the motorvehicle reg.no UAW 652J.
